*On-Call Requirement: after-hours support
- Klaviyo’s Global IT (GIT) team is looking for an experienced IT Manager of Systems and Services to lead and oversee our core infrastructure, network, and critical applications. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of key enterprise systems such as Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf, Intune, and others. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex systems while ensuring operational excellence.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams in IT, SecOps, and business units to align systems and services with Klaviyo’s growth and security needs. Additionally, this role includes an on-call component for after-hours support, ensuring high availability for critical systems.
Key Responsibilities and who you are:
- Systems Management: Lead the day-to-day operations of core IT systems including, but not limited to, Okta (SSO and identity management), Google Workspace (collaboration tools), Jamf (macOS management), Intune (Windows device management), and other key infrastructure systems.
- Network & Infrastructure: Manage and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring uptime, security, and performance optimization for all Klaviyo offices and cloud environments.
- Incident Management & On-Call Support: Serve as the escalation point for critical incidents. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support to ensure system availability and rapid resolution of issues.
- Security & Compliance: Partner with SecOps to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. Proactively manage system vulnerabilities, patch management, and endpoint security across the organization.
- Automation & Efficiency: Drive automation initiatives to improve the efficiency of core IT services and reduce manual effort across the team.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects focused on the enhancement and integration of systems, infrastructure, and core business applications. Ensure timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with key technology vendors, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and optimization of services.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team of systems engineers and administrators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Provide guidance on troubleshooting complex issues and developing SME expertise within the team.
Requirements:
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in IT systems administration or management roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position. Strong experience in managing critical infrastructure, networks, and cloud-based services.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of SaaS based enterprise applications
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and on-premise network technologies (switches, firewalls, VPNs).
- Experience in endpoint management (macOS, Windows) and security solutions like CrowdStrike.
Leadership Skills:
- Proven track record of leading technical teams, managing projects, and developing strategic IT solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, particularly under time-sensitive conditions (such as during on-call rotations).
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with vulnerability management processes and tools.
