This position is located at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Central Office in the Right-of-Ways Utilities Branch.
Full Time in office

Basic Purpose
The Transportation II Utility Branch Manager is responsible for directing the activities of the Utilities Branch, ensuring the delivery of quality services, and maintaining on-time performance. This position requires a high-level understanding of utility relocation within state highway right-of-way and construction constraints for statewide projects, along with motivating subordinate staff, providing necessary training, and representing the Department in interactions with various stakeholders. Applicants should be familiar with transportation construction, design, and utilities.
Level Descriptor
At this level, incumbents are responsible for performing supervisory or advanced transportation management work. They may serve as resident transportation managers or direct a transportation branch within the Department of Transportation or Oklahoma Transportation Authority.
Education and Experience
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in transportation-related work PLUS one additional year of qualifying experience as a supervisor or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
Note: No substitution may be made for the required supervisory capacity experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of technical engineering practices and principles; management principles, engineering plans, and specifications; right-of-way activities; all aspects of field roadway construction; highway contracts administration supervisory principles and practices; and transportation systems and planning principles.
Ability to design and implement construction plans, organize projects, establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, collect and organize data, conduct inspections, and direct the activities of a transportation branch is required.
