The Team:
Ward 3A is a 33-bed general medical ward located on Level 3 of the Mersey Community Hospital. Our exceptional staff are committed to treating every patient with respect, patience, and support. The Role:
- Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.
- Practice in accordance with the NMBA codes and guidelines for registered nurses and midwives.
- Contribute to the maintenance and promotion of a safe work environment.
- In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluates patient/client care.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a strong team approach through open communication and a positive supportive approach.
About you:
- Applicants with a minimum of two years’ nursing experience will be highly regarded.
- Flexibility to work across morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
- Strong clinical assessment skills to accurately monitor patient conditions and identify signs of deterioration in an acute care setting.
Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time and part time, shift worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 16 November 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
