Eliot’s Homeless Services Division is seeking a dedicated Commercial Sexual Exploitation Specialist to join our Low Threshold Housing Team which provides an array of onsite supportive services, including recovery coaching, MAT/Psychiatry, wrap-around case management & clinical coordination, medical consultation and direct interventions, and access to trauma-focused treatment modalities.
The ideal candidate has experience establishing supportive relationships with persons with mental illnesses/substance use, respecting their preferences for treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide structured interventions for unsheltered individuals who need crisis stabilization around commercial sexual exploitation, housing instability, substance use and/or mental health.
- Maximize internal/external resources- in this realm across services elements.
- Deliver individualized, trauma informed case management.
- Interface with unsheltered individuals experiencing active addiction in encampments within a co-response model involving other Eliot services; in the community and residential settings, in order to engage them around immediate and tangible resources, viable pathways to housing, recovery from exploitation, and overall wellbeing.
- Foster deep community partnerships, work collaboratively to coordinate care for chronically exploited.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the Healing Arts or related field preferred.
- Strong commitment to substance use recovery, housing first philosophy and knowledge of Harm Reduction principles.
- Must have extensive expertise around Commercial Sexual Exploitation, either through lived experience or specialized training.
- Ability to provide flexible services that are community based and focused on team work.
- Lived experience with sexual exploitation, mental Illness and substance use with 2 years sustained recovery strongly preferred.
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 1pm-9pm
