The Position

EXL’s Castle High Value business provides replacement cost estimating and loss prevention services on high value homes for personal lines insurance carriers, and is the recognized leader in the industry.

We are looking for an adventurous and ambitious professional to work as a Travelling High Value Home Inspector (referred to internally as a “Field Analyst”). Prior experience in real estate, home construction or insurance is a plus, but not a necessity given our excellent training program. This is a great “stepping stone” position to prove your capabilities for future advancement within the company

The Field Analyst’s primary responsibility will be travelling to areas of need across the U.S. to complete High Value Residential Insurance Surveys (aka inspections). The incumbent will be responsible for touring and documenting beautiful custom homes in some of the most affluent locations in the country. Once they have developed the adequate experience, the Field Analyst will also be responsible for auditing the competency, professionalism, and work product of independent field consultants.

The Location

More on the Job

This is a salaried, full-time work-from-home, employee position in which the Field Analyst is responsible for completing multiple EXL Survey products and other support tasks.

  • High Value Surveys
  • Conduct property surveys on high value homes, documenting the construction materials, workmanship and special features of the structure
  • Travel up to 2 weeks per month for production work to areas dictated by business needs
  • Determine square footage of the home through detailed measurements or by replicating available building plans
  • Generate an estimate replacement cost based on industry calculators, EXL resources and your personal findings at the home
  • Observe and assess physical and liability hazards to the property, including natural hazards such as wildfire and hurricane exposure. Document all such hazards for underwriting, including recommendations for risk improvement.
  • Competed a detailed survey report write-up, including narrative assessments

 

 

  • Other Duties
  • Lead by example, and always improve: The Field Analyst will represent Castle’s best, and will be capable of surveying the most important and expensive properties.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism to stakeholders in the survey process (homeowners, insurance agents, etc.).
  • Assess competency and professionalism of independent Field Consultants
  • Pricing research, mentoring, quality review and other special projects as directed by manager
  • Manager support as needed
  • Continually upgrade your Survey skillset through company-provided training and other learning opportunities.
  • Regularly meet with local insurance agents to build a personal rapport, and promote the company’
