Childcare Intern

As a Childcare Intern, a typical day might include the following:  

• Assisting in overseeing of educational activities within the childcare classroom.

• Applying standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the childcare field.

• Establishing and maintaining supportive relationships with children and parents.

• Working cooperatively in a team atmosphere.

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

This job might be for you if you:

• Are a current student.

• Are Eighteen years of age or older.

• Are able to maintain confidentiality.

• Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

• Are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

• Are able to work cooperatively in a team environment.

• Have background check results satisfactory to SEL.

• Have negative Mantoux TB test result(s).

• Have a Valid Driver's License.

• Are able to meet MVR Qualification Standards of SEL.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current student studying Early Childhood Education or related field.

• 1-2 years documented early childhood development education.

• Foreign Language Skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50lbs frequently.

• Sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours.

• Reach, bend, kneel, and twist.

Pay Range Data

($16.30 - $17.50 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
