Job Description

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement complex, scalable React applications using modern practices.

  • Develop reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

  • Implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, and end-to-end).

  • Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Deploy and monitor applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.

  • Ensure application security by integrating DevSecOps practices and automated vulnerability scanning.

  • Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization.

  • Optimize application performance and implement responsive design principles.

  • Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences.

  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to maintain coding standards.

  • Integrate third-party services and maintain API documentation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to six years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture.

  • Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog).

  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.

  • React.js, Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform.

  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

  • Testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha).

Location expectations 
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
