SUMMARY

The Clinical Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Lead Lead provides strategic leadership and subject-matter expertise in integrating evidence-based nutrition care practices into a value-based nephrology care model. In a centralized, non–patient-facing role, the Lead advances medical nutrition therapy (MNT) strategies, oversees program design, and champions population health initiatives for individuals with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).

This position leads collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams—including registered nurses, care coordinators, social workers, and organizational leadership—to ensure that nutrition-related needs and barriers are systematically identified and addressed, supporting improved patient outcomes, slowing disease progression, and enhancing value-based care (VBC) performance. The role is 50% clinical program development and 50% central clinical consultative.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requirements include:

·         Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) certification showing proof of registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration (includes Baccalaureate or Advanced degree).

·         Active RD/RDN credential and state licensure where applicable.

·         Minimum 7 years of progressive clinical nutrition experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or program development role.

·         Proven expertise in renal nutrition, population health strategies, and chronic disease management.

·         Strong skills in policy development, training, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

·         Excellent analytical, communication, and program evaluation skills.
