IAM Business Analyst

Milestone Technologies is seeking an IT Business Analyst (BA) to support the successful implementation of SailPoint Identity Cloud, a cloud-based identity management solution. This role will focus on gathering and documenting requirements, facilitating stakeholder alignment, and ensuring seamless execution of the SailPoint Identity Cloud deployment to enable Identity and Access Management (IAM) functions.

As a mid-level BA, you will collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and security compliance teams to define requirements, document processes, and ensure IAM governance best practices are incorporated into the solution.

Project Phases & Responsibilities

Phase 0: Readiness & RFP Support

Phase Objective:

• Focused on Readiness and assisting with the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.

BA Responsibilities:

Support the Strategy & Implementation Partner selection process by gathering business needs and defining evaluation criteria. Develop functional requirements to ensure the SailPoint Identity Cloud implementation aligns with business and security objectives. Establish the review and acceptance processes for key stakeholders, business units, and process owners to ensure smooth collaboration. Confirm communication plans and reporting structures to keep stakeholders informed throughout the implementation.

Phase 1: Foundational Implementation

Phase Objective:

• Establish the foundational IAM framework with a strong emphasis on:
  • Join-Move-Leave (JML) lifecycle management.
  • Onboarding workflows for multiple employee types, ensuring seamless identity provisioning.
  • Delivering an exceptional end-user experience.

BA Responsibilities:

Develop functional requirements and key documentation artifacts to support a future transition back to customer from the implementation partner. Support the definition and capture of key IAM data elements, including triggers, rules, policies, and workflows. Conduct process mapping sessions with stakeholders to identify IAM-related pain points and optimization opportunities. Document current-state (“as-is”) and future-state (“to-be”) workflows, systems, and IAM processes to ensure a smooth transition and long-term sustainability.

General Responsibilities

Business & Functional Analysis

• Work closely with technical teams, security, compliance, and business units to document detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Ensure alignment of IAM governance policies with business processes and security best practices.
• Support the customer’s documentation of  role-based access control (RBAC), policy enforcement, and access governance requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation

• Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Document business processes, use cases, and workflows related to IAM and SailPoint Identity Cloud.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by documenti
