Job Summary:
Electrical Test Equipment Technician C builds and supports electrical test and ground support equipment 
used in the production and maintenance of aircraft. May be required to work under the guidance of 
higher-grade Technicians.

Job Responsibilities:
• Performs a variety of manual, cognitive and learning tasks relating to the construction of various 
types of electrical test and ground support equipment for production and aftermarket use.
• Requires the reading and interpretation of electrical schematics and drawings.
• Requires a fundamental understanding of alternating and direct current circuitry with the ability to 
troubleshoot malfunctioning circuits.
• Requires the operation of powered machines, electrical measurement devices, computers, and 
portable equipment.
• Uses measuring instruments such as scales, multimeter, automated computer test equipment 
and other required instruments.
• Fabricates and modifies electrical enclosures and components needed for the assembly of test 
equipment using a variety of basic machining equipment.
• Participates in the implementation of new manufacturing processes and the rollout of new 
technologies related to the above work content.
• Responsible only for own work.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

 

Education:
Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. 
Required to also have a technical certificate in electronics technology or closely related field, or 
equivalent of 1-year electronic on-the-job training.
Must also possess or be able to attain a valid driver’s license to support equipment and manufacturing 
processes across all campuses.

Experience:
No experience required with appropriate technical certificate. If no technical certificate, must have a 
minimum of 1 year electronic on-the-job training.

Working Conditions:
Good working conditions with occasional exposure to shop noise and dirt.
