GENERAL FUNCTION:

Responsible for managing complex, portfolio-wide programs for Enterprise Workplace Services with technical expertise. This includes development of departmental processes and procedures, including documentation and implementation; communication and training programs; development of best practices and tools to drive efficiency, effectiveness and innovation; and development of delivery service levels and specifications in support of business requirements and objectives. Collaborates with, contributes to and supports special project assignments and portfolio-wide strategic initiatives that may require partnerships throughout the company and be led by others.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Create and document an overarching strategy for Operational Sustainability by identifying the highest-value reputation enhancing goals to pursue and the methods to accomplish them. In development of the strategy, take a holistic approach, considering how to increase reputation with external customers, community and regulatory organizations and employees. The strategy should include clear deliverables and measurable results.

• Consult with various leaders to evaluate and champion policies, standards, processes and programs to elevate commitment and results in Operational Sustainability.  Prepare financial analysis, capital plan and appropriations to drive execution of Operational Sustainability goals and programs.  Develop written project summaries and financial measurements, including pre and post project sustainability data analysis and return on investment analysis.

• Establish and ensure effective execution of key processes, programs and standards that will efficiently drive results by aligning communication, people, culture and process associated with the built environment.  Examples include efficiency standards (i.e. LED, smart irrigation), design standards (i.e. embodied carbon considerations), green building practices (i.e. green cleaning), sustainable procurement (i.e. environmentally friendly paper), EV charging, onsite solar, building automation, Energy Star, LEED, green leasing, wellness and recycling/waste reduction programs.

• Drive sustainable procurement strategy by incorporating sustainability and wellness considerations into vendor selections and contract processes related to Operational Sustainability goals and programs. This includes development of statements of work, performance standards and identification and evaluation of qualified vendors/products during the RFP process, as well as managing vendor performance throughout the lifecycle.

• Oversee tools, systems, processes and data used for the central oversight of Operational Sustainability. Set targets, monitor results, and communicate results to support transparency and accountability in partnership with Climate Risk, Office of Sustainability and other stakeholders.

• Utilize analytics to determine key points of leverage and test assumptions; establish and monitor scorecard metrics to track progress for portfolio of over 1,000 building. This includes, but is not limited to, tracking progress against energy, water, waste, GHG and paper reductions targets. Collaborate with Climate Risk and Office of Sustainability on metrics and reporting. Provide input and data in support of annual Sustainability, TCFD, CDP and other reporting.

• In partnership with Corporate Communications and Workplace Experience, develop and execute a communications strategy so that all stakeholders are aware of and can speak to the Bank's Operational Sustainability efforts. Determine key stakeholders, communication needs and communication methods and frequency; lead regular meetings with internal stakeholders to review strategy, tactics, measures and results. Leverage internal and external outlets to share content.

• Manage communication, training, documentation and events related to Operational Sustainability. Partner with Communications, Workplace Experience and other internal resources in the design and development of these deliverables.  Drive employee engagement through BRG participation, OWP change champions and events (i.e. Earth Day,
