Your Role at Baxter

Lead maintenance team in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and systems through preventative maintenance procedures and root cause analysis. Lead installation of new equipment and upgrades.  Perform supervisor duties in absences of supervisor.  Review Maximo work orders for effectiveness in worked performed and data entry.

What you'll be doing

• Complete CWRs, PM Maintenance Request Approvals, Security Authorization, Change Control forms and other related forms when required. 
• Provide leadership in the absence of the Supervisor.
• Provide training for MT, MT2, SMT, PT
• Troubleshoots, repairs Robotics and electronics without engineering support.
• Lead Technician for new equipment installation, modifications, and upgrades.
• Use a drawing package, multi-meter, Laptop, and other diagnostic equipment to support MT, MT2, SMT, PT in resolving electrical issues.
• Resolves issues related to equipment, process, compliance; performs unscheduled maintenance and responds to trouble calls in a timely manner.
• Works in a safe manner always, and is trained in Arc Flash, Lock Out Tag Out, Basic Electrical Safety, Ladder Safety, and other plant programs.
• Ensure work order system, maintenance, and facility procedures are followed and completed properly, including pre-approvals and signoffs.
• Follows Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as always outlined by Baxter policies and procedures. Document all work in Maximo as required.
• Strict adherence to environmental health and safety (EHS) and manufacturing SOP, policies, and procedures to ensure safe and quality products are always produced.
• Works with EHS to ensure compliance with global requirements. Identify Hazard IDs and corrects them or makes a plan to correct them
• Participates in department and site continuous improvement projects.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical systems, fabrication and welding.
• All other tasks assigned as required to support plant production.

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prefer Technical School Training
• Prefer 10 years of prior maintenance experience on automated manufacturing machines/equipment.
• Strong Knowledge of Maximo preferred.
• Expert with programmable logic controllers (PLC) systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron).  experience preferred.  Ability to connect to PLC, Servo and Robotic systems using Laptop Computer and Pendants
• Proficient in programs locating Electrical/Mechanical Drawings and Locate Programs in Master Program file.
• Expert with motor controls, variable speed/variable frequency drives, servos, stepper motors, high speed packaging equipment, and pneumatic systems.
• Candidate must be capable of training in electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, building drawings, and part diagrams.
•  SME of photo eyes/sensors, limit switches, proximity sensors, temperature controllers, preferred).
• Experience performing maintenance and troubleshooting of high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment, convey systems, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, continuous inkjet printing systems.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (ability to read, write and speak fluent English) and understanding of GMP regulations. Good proce
