As an investment professional, you will primarily originate transactions and lead deal teams to execute, manage, and create value in equity, tax equity, debt , and/or structured financings. You will also have responsibility to advance strategic initiatives, including 3rd party tax equity capital raising and project development spanning the GE Vernova portfolio of energy transition technologies, primarily focused on wind, but also opportunities in gas power, electrification, small modular nuclear, direct air capture, and more as needed.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Originate opportunities in renewable energy projects, primarily wind.
  • Serve as team lead in the due diligence, underwriting, and approval of large and complex renewable energy project finance investments.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions for transactions and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate diligence and documentation.
  • Conduct financial analysis including developing assumptions and modeling projected results.
  • Prepare risk assessments and present investment approvals to senior leadership with a clear and consistent approach to mitigate project risks.
  • Protect and realize the value of portfolio investments through monitoring key performance indicators, evaluate project modifications/restructurings, and execute asset sales.
  • Train and mentor junior investment professionals on a deal-by-deal basis.
  • Assist in 3rd party capital raise for levered tax equity product.
  • Support GE Vernova strategic initiatives, special projects, and new business development opportunities.

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of progressive experience and accomplishments in project finance / infrastructure finance is a critical prerequisite. 

  • Strong financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and valuation skills. 

  • Ability to analyze in detail key project contracts, legal documents, and due diligence reports such as market studies and independent engineer reports. 

  • Team leadership experience. 

 

Eligibility Requirements [To be reviewed/updated by HR and Compliance] 

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States 

  • Must comply with pre-employment screening, including drug testing, reference verification, and background check 

  • Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act

  • Note that there is a uniformly required employee non-solicit agreement for this position 

  • Minimal travel may be required, as needed, to support business and customers within the region 

 

Desired Characteristics 

  • Power project development experience. 

  • Expertise in renewables or gas power projects and markets. 

  • Skilled communicator who writes clearly and negotiates internally and externally at high levels. 

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with motivation to work through ambiguity and collaborate to problem solve across GE Vernova businesses.
