Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for an Engineering Knowledge Management Specialist to join our Customer Support Integration team in Seal Beach, CA.

This leader will influence and lead a team responsible for defining and aligning our strategies to attract, retain, and develop a highly skilled and diverse global workforce.  This leader will primarily work on integrating knowledge management activities across an organization of more than 2,000 people with multiple engineering and technical disciplines.  This leader will help build our next generation of dreamers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Define the strategy and architecture for knowledge capture, retrieval, and transfer across the organization

  • Organize knowledge repositories

  • Define new-hire and on-boarding requirements

  • Establish functional training guidelines

  • Collaborate with leaders across the enterprise to integrate and deploy best practices in learning and development

  • Collaborate with technical leaders across the organization to complete and maintain Skill Inventory Assessments, Knowledge Gap identification and closure

  • Responsible for project management support in creating and maintaining Design Practices at the organization-level

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements.  To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

             

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 4 or more years of experience in program management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Engineering skills/functional leadership experience is highly preferred

  • Ability to determine the process to be used to accomplish goals, properly document processes, know how to organize people and activities, understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow, identify opportunities for synergy and integration, and simplify complex processes

  • Excellent collaborator

  • Knowledge of engineering functional leadership processes

  • Ability to build relationships to gain support and commitment from others, promote ideas with enthusiasm, conviction, and assertiveness

  • Ability to provide compelling rationale for business needs and use appropriate levels of persistence to meet objectives

  • Excellent decision making, resourcefulness, and accountability

Typical Education/Experience: 

Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:
