AbbVie's Biologics Discovery Sciences group is on the hunt for a passionate and skilled Senior Scientist to join our innovative team in North Chicago, IL. If you're a creative problem solver with an eye for detail and a drive to advance biologics purification processes, we want you to be part of our journey.

About the Role:

As a Senior Scientist in our dynamic core team, you will focus on the purification of bispecific candidates, ensuring they exhibit suitable purity and characteristics to support advancement into in vitro studies (i.e. drug-like property assays, binding, cell-based assays, etc) and in vivo studies (i.e. efficacy, non-GLP NHP PK, DRF, etc).  We are looking for an independent, driven scientist to champion chromatography efforts to overcome the challenges associated with purifying bispecific proteins.   Your expertise will drive the design and execution of process development strategies that address production liabilities and ensure future process scalability. You will engage in intensive analytical characterization of molecules (end-products/process-intermediates) and extensive methods development to identify and remove process and product related-impurities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Purification of bispecific candidates at scales ranging from 1g to 200g.
• Design and execute process development strategies to overcome purification challenges.
• Perform intensive analytical characterization of molecules, end-products, by-products, and  process intermediates.
