About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Core Engineering team, you will contribute directly to significant components of AppOmni’s SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) platform. In collaboration with technical leadership, you will be responsible for designing and developing significant areas of the codebase that support security monitoring and management of SaaS platforms and remediation workflows to help customers improve their security posture.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Core Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with technical leadership to design and develop critical components of AppOmni’s SSPM platform. Specifically, you will:

• Own and lead the implementation of critical areas of our codebase that support monitoring and managing security for major SaaS platforms.
• Develop new components and feature sets to help customers enhance their security posture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges in a dynamic and evolving security landscape.
• Impact the security of some of the largest SaaS deployments in the world, as well as their customers and end-users.

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Python (or similar OOP)
• 3+ years of experience with ORMs (preferred Postgres)
• 10+ years of software engineering experience focusing on object-oriented design, data structures, and working on abstracted codebases.
• Experience with ETL and streaming technologies
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization 
• Experience integrating external APIs and designing elegant solutions for large enterprise-scale systems.
• Strong interest in data security and protecting sensitive information.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience with Dagster or Airtable
• Experience with GKE
• Experience with observability systems
• Experience with time-series-based database
• Experience with Cloud computing toolsets, IaC, DevOps experience
• Experience deploying and maintaining production applications on IaaS platforms.
• Prior experience in Application, Product, or Enterprise Security.
