Postdoctoral Fellow – Forensic Psychology

Posting Summary:
The Postdoctoral Fellow position is a one-year appointment focused on delivering psychological services to justice-involved individuals reentering the community after incarceration. These services will be grounded in trauma-informed, strength-based, and culturally responsive frameworks. In addition, the Fellow will also engage in training, supervision, outreach, and program development in collaboration with community partners.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Provide individual and group psychotherapy to justice-involved adults, including conducting psychological intakes and assessments to inform treatment planning
● Engage in case management, community outreach, and organizational partnerships to facilitate successful reintegration for participants
● Provide supervision and training to license-eligible MA and doctoral students
● Participate in weekly supervision and didactic training in accordance with APPIC guidelines
● Contribute to program evaluation, research, and scholarly writing
● Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
● Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA- accredited program
● Completion of an APA-accredited internship
● Eligibility for New York State limited permit or licensure
● Strong interest and experience in working with underserved or justice-involved populations
● Training in evidence-based interventions
● Excellent interpersonal, clinical, and writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with community outreach, forensic settings, or reentry programs
● Interest in program development and evaluation
● Background in advocacy and systems navigation for underserved populations

Salary Range:

$65,000
