Job Description
This role is a key member of the Global Technology Sourcing team with dual accountability:
EMEA Regional Leadership for Hardware, Infrastructure, and Telecommunication (HIT), overseeing sourcing execution, supplier relationships, and category performance across the region.
Global Category Leadership for end‑user hardware peripherals, devices, and accessories, responsible for developing, socializing, and governing the global category strategy and standards.
This role works extensively with colleagues and leaders across IT, Infrastructure, Network/Telecom, Security, Workplace/End‑User Computing, and Regional Operations to shape relationships with strategic suppliers, ensure alignment with business strategies, and drive sourcing excellence. The Senior Specialist executes HIT sourcing initiatives to achieve savings, cost effectiveness, risk mitigation, and service resiliency in support of our organization’s technology footprint. You will be a direct partner to IT and Infrastructure stakeholders and report to the Director, Technology Procurement (HIT).
The Senior Specialist drives contract negotiations to ensure that the objectives of internal senior stakeholders are met and sustained. The Senior Specialist also acts to support Procurement processes and policies while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.
This individual is expected to drive the execution of agreements through a consistent sourcing process to deliver breakthrough results. The position requires project management skills and a proven ability to manage negotiations to successful completion proactively.
Responsibilities include:
Providing Sourcing support for our software IT team with responsibilities that include IT contract negotiation, pricing analysis, contract review and contract administration.
Interfacing with internal IT stakeholders to support contract negotiations
Supporting vendor management efforts for commercial, service and/or quality issues
Coordinate our RFP process for strategic sourcing requests by utilizing e-Sourcing tools
Negotiate IT contracts and fully capture our IT business requirements
Record and track savings and progress of projects for all IT projects in Procurement’s Savings Database
Execute sourcing plans that reach out and include all possible and relevant Diverse Suppliers in the US and globally
Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
Leadership - As a key member of a spend category, he/she will be responsible for developing and implementing the sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment, compliance, and delivery of required business performance.
Process - Realize sourcing management, supplier value management, contract management, risk management, and supplier diversity as core sustainable processes and enablers of delivery.
Performance - Drive competitive sourcing events (RFQs, RFIs, RFPs) and support vendor selection, and contract negotiation, including participating in the governance process for the renewal of legacy IT products.
Relationships - Build outstanding relationships with stakeholders which are tailored to meet their business needs.
Change Management - Adopt high quality change practices with customers and stakeholders.
Global - Ensure our Company’s global procurement strategy, global category management and ways of working are adopted globally.
Diversity - Actively support diversity, both within our Company and externally, growing relationships and spend with our Diverse Suppliers.
Supplier Value Management - Implement supplier value management with the key suppliers in this category to foster innovation, manage supplier performance, establish a Governance Model, and ensure continuous improvement.
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
Undergraduate degree (related technical field such as IT, Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar preferred)
Required Experience and Skills:
5+ years of work experience in relevant areas of IT and/or IT Purchasing
Knowledge of the Hardware, Infrastructure and Telecommunications is desired
Experience with the negotiation of commercial and legal contract terms and conditions
Language skills – English is required. Additional languages are a plus.
Experience supporting Procurement processes and Vendor management
Experience in conducting financial analysis
