Job Description

We are seeking a Supervisor of Screening Patient Navigation to lead a growing team supporting patients undergoing preventative cancer screening, specifically for our Guardant Shield test. This is a new leadership role built to support the expanding needs of our screening program and ensure patients are educated, guided, and followed through the entire testing process. 

This role requires a proactive leader passionate about public health, preventive care, and improving access to early detection testing. 

Responsibilities 

  • Supervise a team of Patient Navigation Specialists supporting Guardant Shield screening test patients. 

  • Guide the team in managing high-volume patient workflows and improving sample return rates and test completion. 

  • Monitor performance, provide coaching, and encourage professional growth. 

  • Oversee escalated cases related to eligibility, test instructions, provider coordination, and compliance. 

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to support patient awareness and engagement strategies. 

  • Track KPIs such as patient follow-through, engagement, and return rates to identify improvement opportunities. 

  • Develop SOPs and scripts specific to screening workflows. 

  • Drive continuous process improvements for the screening program with a patient-first mindset. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. 

  • 5+ years of experience in patient navigation, public health, preventive medicine, or diagnostics, with leadership experience strongly preferred. 

  • Passion for early cancer detection and preventive healthcare. 

  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) and strong Excel/data analysis skills. 

  • Clear, empathetic communication and people management skills. 

  • Adaptability in a startup-like, rapidly growing environment. 

  • Bilingual English/Spanish or other language fluency is a plus. 

Additional Information

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $78,200 to $107,530. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
