Basic Job Functions:

NTS is seeking an Accounting professional that is ready to take on additional responsibilities and grow their career. As this is a new business, this role will require strong critical thinking and problem solving as we build processes and procedures to support a growing business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
• Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Review and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate and assist with audits.
• Coordinate and best mark with other Nucor divisions
• Some travel will be required to visit NTS production locations as well as best marking visits at other Nucor locations (20% or less).

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in Accounting from a four-year university
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting roles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA, MACC or MBA
• Experience with utilizing ERP systems for report
