Clinical Assistant Professor, School of Physical Therapy- Dallas
Texas Woman’s University (TWU) School of Physical Therapy is hiring for a full-time 9-month faculty position at the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor for our Dallas campus. With programs on the Dallas and Houston campuses, the School of Physical Therapy offers DPT and PhD programs, as well as residency programs in neurology and women’s health, and recently completed its DPT re-accreditation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing and teaching courses in the professional DPT program
- Supporting supplemental learning lab activities
- Facilitating emerging interprofessional education opportunities on campus.
- Participating in service activities within the School and across the University
- Participating in scholarship activities
Required Qualifications:
- Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of Texas
- Earned doctoral degree (e.g. DPT, PhD, DSc, EdD)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist.
- Current member of the American Physical Therapy Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in neurologic, geriatric, or acute care physical therapy
- Prior experience in academic or clinical teaching
- Specialization from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties
