Executive Director – Operations

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our West Region leadership team in the role of Executive Director – Operations.
The Executive Director – Operations is responsible for spearheading strategic efforts to enhance operational efficiency, improve patient care outcomes, and adapt to evolving healthcare landscapes with system-wide backing. This leader collaborates with key stakeholders, fosters innovation, and implements change management strategies to ensure successful organizational transformation. The Executive Director develops a clear vision for organizational transformation aligned with IU Health's mission and goals. The leader identifies opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies within various departments/regions. This person collaborates with senior leadership, department heads, and key stakeholders to understand organizational needs and goals and ensures that transformation initiatives align with regulatory requirements and industry standards. This leader establishes policy and direction for the system and is accountable within defined scope for the results.
Key Relationships
Reports to: Vice President-Chief Operating Officer
Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.
Requires 10+ years of relevant experience.
Requires 10+ years of relevant experience in leading, managing, and delivering key initiatives across large, complex organizations.
Requires 7+ years of management experience.
Change Management experience is required.
Requires extensive experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
Requires an In-depth knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to transformation.
