About the role

The primary responsibility of the Senior Director, Audience Product is to support adoption, development and product market fit of our Dentsu.Connect Audience product across the US market. You will manage the Product vision and defining and prioritising key development efforts based on our client needs and broader Data & Technology strategy.

Main areas of responsibility are:

1) Market rollout - work market client and agency teams to deploy our global Audience product ensuring it is tailored and relevant to regional and local use cases and business constraints

2) Requirements gathering – work with client teams, growth teams, operations and technical teams to prioritise and align key feature requests. Present consolidated market feedback and intelligence into the central development teams

3) Subject matter expertise – work with local teams as a subject matter expert on Audience, Identity & Data strategy, positioning Audience builder as a market leading Data offering within Dentsu.Connect.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the product backlog and roadmap, and seeing that it delivers business value and reflects business priorities

  • Builds and maintains relationships with Business Owners, Product Managers and Subject Matter Experts, business and technical, to define, analyse, prioritise and refine business requirements into an implementable backlog

  • Communicates the Product Vision and backlog to all stakeholders to show what the development teams will work on next and the longer term

  • Represents the customer and/or the user, as their stakeholders, prioritising the backlog with their input, to realise their requirements

  • Works with development teams, articulating the goals, outcomes and requirements in sufficient detail that the development teams can deliver

  • Liaises with Product Management and other Product Owners to agree the scope, their contribution to and dependencies for every iteration and approach to delivery

  • You will report to the Product Director

Required skills

  • Understanding of the media landscape media experience either working within a media agency/organisation or alternatively building a media based product.

  • Experience with Audience media platforms, and their usage within the Media workflow for Insights, Planning and consumer targeting (DMPs, CDPs).

  • Strong understanding of the industry challenges related to Identity (technology, legal etc) and how these impact data product solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of data and how it can be used to deliver client value in the media and marketing landscapes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability tailor the language and depth of communication based on situation and stakeholder knowledge.

  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships, interact and influence with a range of senior stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Strong technical understanding with solid foundational understanding of structured and unstructured data, machine learning concepts, data formats, API architectures and software development process is a plus. Ability to comfortably converse with developers.

  • Product management experience in the media industry at a relevant agency, publisher or AdTech business is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of Identity tracking and matching methods (1st & 3rd party cookies, PII, hashing etc) is a plus.

The annual base salary range for this position is $136,000-$219,650. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
