SUMMARY
Our Senior Store Managers are integral to the success of the HOKA Brand. As a Senior Store Manager, you attract, develop, and motivate a passionate team. You regularly share the HOKA Brand values, vision and mission with your team members and actively create a culture of trust and accountability. As a Senior Store Manager, you may lead multiple high-volume and complex locations and support the District Manager with additional responsibilities as needed.
DESCRIPTION
As a people leader, you continuously build and develop your team through recruiting, training, and coaching to meet the short and long-term needs of the business. You lead your team to drive Brand awareness and education while providing excellent service. You maintain high training standards that enable your team to deliver elevated shopping experiences that invite customers to learn about and experience the HOKA Brand. You lead high-level visits in your flagship locations and/or markets.
You drive operational excellence in all aspects of your business and take responsibility for the store’s inventory, cash, and labor. You execute visual merchandising directions that promote the Brand image and ensure a well-managed back of house. You drive sales and KPIs for your store while focusing on key strategic priorities. You are agile and know how to adapt to support the needs of business.
Community is integral to the HOKA Brand and you understand the importance of cultivating community within and beyond the store’s four walls. You invite customers into the HOKA community through amazing interactions with our HOKA Experts, creative local engagement, and dynamic support of Brand events, when possible. You maintain awareness of industry trends and local competitors in order to meet and anticipate customer demands.
CORE COMPETENCIES
As an effective Senior Store Manager, you know how to:
- Coach and develop your team to drive business results and professional growth while leading, mentoring, and providing support to Store Managers within the district.
- Partner with the District Manager to identify and develop talent for leadership positions.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service possible and prioritize brand and product knowledge training.
- Meet and exceed budgeted sales and KPIs and monitor expenses.
- Conduct self-audits with attention to the key controls involving receiving and cash handling within your district.
- Develop store strategies that enhance customer satisfaction, increase traffic, and optimize profitability. Proactively and continuously cultivate community through events, local outreach, and proactive awareness of and engagement with your market beyond the four walls of your store.
- Manage Inventory and implement store administration and operations including compliance with policies and procedures
- Actively maintain a network for recruiting candidates to your store team, as well as support the District Manager in identifying and interviewing potential management candidates within the district.
- Hire the best team members by identifying talent quickly and regularly maintaining a network for recruiting candidates.
- Onboard and train team members to ensure engaged and high-performing teams.
- Ensure the highest level of visual merchandising and standards and takes responsibility for execution of visual directives and guidelines.
- Drive key initiatives and support programs that enhance the customer journey.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Four (4-6) years minimum retail store management experience.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey the HOKA and Deckers Brands Vision and Mission to your team and customers.
- Excellent leadership skills and experience managing people in a customer-facing environment.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and cost management for a store of comparable volume and size.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate people, resources, and services in order to address business goals and needs.
