About the opportunity
The Deputy Head of Business Technology Aged Care serves as the deputy to the Head of Business Technology, supporting the management, coordination, and execution of a complex program of technology initiatives in alignment with Mercy Health’s digital and business strategies. This is a hands-on role that requires direct involvement in project oversight and delivery.
Key responsibilities include overseeing a portfolio of interconnected technology projects, supervising and mentoring multidisciplinary project resources, assisting with strategic planning, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of digital solutions.
This role will primarily be based at Mercy Health’s head office located in Richmond and will require some travel between Mercy Health facilities nationally as required.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Practical and demonstrable technology experience in an Aged Care , hospital or acute health network environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and lead multidisciplinary teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Comprehensive knowledge of program management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, adept at building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, business units, and technology partners.
