About the Role
At Nilfisk, we are on a journey to become a truly data-driven organization. Our Business Intelligence (BI) team plays a crucial role in delivering actionable insights, automating workflows, and empowering business users with self-service analytics.
We are seeking a senior Power Platform Developer with 5+ years of experience in Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. In this role, you will drive the development and optimization of our Power Platform ecosystem, ensuring high performance, seamless integration, and robust governance. With over 600 Power BI Reports, a strong SAP BW backbone, and a future transition to Microsoft Fabric, you will play a key role in enhancing our analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize Power BI solutions, ensuring high-performance reporting, efficient dataset management, and seamless SAP BW integration.
Focus on both front-end and back-end performance to reduce refresh times and minimize capacity usage.
Enhance and maintain Power Apps, creating user-friendly applications that integrate with SQL Server, and SharePoint.
Automate business processes using Power Automate, streamlining workflows across different departments.
Work closely with business stakeholders, translating their needs into scalable and efficient Power Platform solutions.
Ensure best practices in security, governance, and performance optimization within the Power Platform environment.
Collaborate with IT and BI teams to integrate Power Platform solutions with SAP BW, Fabric, and other enterprise systems.
Prepare for Nilfisk’s future transition to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring Power Platform solutions align with our long-term data strategy.
Support two solutions O2C and R2R and in general establish a stronger governance around automation solutions.
Technical Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience working with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate in an enterprise environment.
Power BI – Strong skills in DAX, M Query, dataset optimization, RLS, and Power BI Service management.
Power Apps – Experience with Canvas & Model-Driven Apps, monitoring and integration with SQL Server, and SharePoint.
Power Apps Pipelines – extensive background in manage and automate the application lifecycle management (ALM) process for Power Apps and related components (like flows, solutions, and environment variables).
Power Automate – Expertise in cloud flows, automating Power BI refreshes, and integrating with external APIs.
Data Integration – Familiarity with SAP BW, SQL, REST APIs, and Azure services.
Microsoft Fabric – Understanding or experience with Lakehouse architecture, OneLake, Data Factory, or Real-time Analytics.
Governance & Security – Understanding of Power Platform best practices, security roles, and compliance.
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment and work with multiple stakeholders.
