About the role

The Associate Specialist Account Setup & Collections is vital for setting up and maintaining new customer accounts at Sun Day Red, managing and collecting outstanding payments. This hybrid role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and professionalism in handling stressful situations. Responsibilities include processing new accounts efficiently, addressing customer complaints, resolving billing issues, and maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishment of new customer accounts involves verifying and processing the necessary documentation, ensuring all required information is accurately recorded.

  • Maintain and Update Existing Accounts: This role involves regularly updating existing accounts, including changes to addresses and credit limits. Ensuring that customer information is current and accurate is essential for effective account management.

  • Verify Resale Certificates and Tax Information: Verify resale certificates and tax information, managing the input of this data into systems like Avalara. This helps ensure compliance with tax regulations and accurate record-keeping.

  • Pull Reports from Credit Agencies: The role includes pulling and analyzing reports from credit agencies such as Dunn & Bradstreet, Experian, and NACM. These reports provide valuable insights into creditworthiness and the financial stability of customers.

  • Responsible for managing and collecting outstanding payments from customers. Communicating with clients to resolve credit issues and maintain good customer relations and ensure that all credit policies and procedures are followed and that the company complies with relevant regulations.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Oracle.

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels.

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail required.

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

  • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Preferred: 2 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.

  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.

  • Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.

  • Light physical effort involves the frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

  • Some travel required.

TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected hourly base pay range for this position is $23 - $26. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
