As an Account Manager, you create chemistry by…

• Developing and maintain the Care Chemicals sales relationship with accounts in Industrial markets including water treatment, pulp and paper, construction, and chemical processing.   
• Building relationships with key customers, facilitate identification of new business opportunities and drive achievement of growth opportunities at the customer.
• Establishing multi-level relationships with customers as well as interfacing closely within the BASF organization to drive new projects and business growth.
•  Identifying innovation needs and how BASF can fulfil those requirements. You will also continually refresh the understanding of what BASF can do to fill these needs.
• Steering Care Chemical’s efforts with the customer, including sales development, new business quotations and development projects.
•  Developing and implementing a strategic growth plan for key accounts that will result in a measurable increase of product sales.
• Having in person visits to customers and BASF sites with an expectation of up to 50% overnight travel

Your formula for success…

• Having earned a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or business administration and earning a master’s degree in business administration is preferred
• Possessing experience in Account Management, Sales or related customer facing experience
• Having strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to identify business opportunities
• Excellence in communication, influencing and presentation skills
• Having strong organizational skills

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $127,700 and $159,600. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
