We're seeking a Transportation Business Line Manager to join our team to spearhead business development efforts and bolster our presence in State and Municipal Transportation markets within Massachusetts. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in strategic planning sessions to set sales goals and objectives, aligning them with the company's overall mission and vision.
• Help create a specific growth strategy for transportation in Massachusetts. 
• Establish and maintain client relationships, supporting technical staff in doing the same.
• Identify project opportunities and develop client and opportunity plans.
• Assist in proposal development and participate in client interviews.
• Lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote the Transportation Department's services and expertise.
• Engage in industry associations, seminars, and networking events.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Transportation Department, encouraging creativity, learning, and professional development among team members.
• Lead project teams in planning, execution, and delivery of transportation projects.
• Mentor staff and identify training and technology needs.
• Assist in identifying staffing needs and recruitment efforts.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on transportation-related issues, providing guidance and insights to clients, colleagues, and industry partners.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree; P.E. MA preferred
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Transportation Design with a focus on Highway or Bridge Projects
• Previous experience with MassDOT and MBTA preferred
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
• Demonstrated track record of successfully managing large-scale transportation projects from initiation to completion
• Experience in negotiating contracts, scopes of work, and project budgets
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Team player that is adaptable to changing needs
• Outgoing and comfortable with client and partner networking
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making

This position will be based in either our Boston or Quincy, MA office, but you have the flexibility to work remotely. Fuss & O’Neill encourages a hybrid workplace, allowing you to create your career and future from your preferred location.
