Job Description

Danfoss in Eden Prairie, MN is searching for a Quality Engineer Intern for the Summer 2024 term. The intern will work closely with our manufacturing engineering, warranty team and operations teams in many areas of our manufacturing facility to assist in various improvements thru fresh eyes and ideas.  

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.  

  • Work closely with the team members to ensure the 8D’s are completed accurately for identified defects.
  • Provide assistance with internal inspections to identify true root cause of defects found in our process.
  • Provide support with improvements in Supplier Quality metrics.
  • Create and develop quality documents to standardize the process.
  • Provide assistance to improve the calibration process.
  • Provide assistance in some ISO and IATF audits stuffs.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the Eden Prairie work site
  • Proficiency with various computer software such as MS Office, Minitab, ProE, AutoCAD
  • Project Management skills
  • Experience using quality tools such as: Ishikawa, 5 why’s, Paretos.
  • Experience using quality methods such as: Six Sigma, RedX.
  • Self-driven individual who thrives in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player who can work with a cross-functional team.
