JOB SUMMARY
The Cyber Analyst – Senior provides support to the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) G-3/5/7 Strategic Operations Directorate, Cyberspace Operations Division (DAMO-SOC). Provides subject matter expertise for technical, programmatic, administrative, and management activities that supports Cyber Mission Force (CMF) Readiness and the SECARMY appointed Executive Agent roles and responsibilities for Cyber Training Ranges (EA CTR). Supports CMF Readiness and EA CTR by providing the government lead updates weekly for any changes or equities for the division.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports development of DAMO-SO positions and actions regarding Cyber Mission Force (CMF) Readiness and Cyber Training Ranges Executive Agent roles and responsibilities.
- Provide weekly updates to government leads on status of cyber readiness and training development for both the Army and Joint community. Supports CMF Readiness, EA for Advanced Cyber Training (ACT), and Cyber Training Advisory Council.
- Coordinate with ARCYBER and other Cyber community stakeholders to support Army initiatives and equities.
- Assist DAMO-SOC in researching inquiries from Congress and other higher authorities and provide draft responses regarding any aspect of CMF Readiness and EA CTR.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Familiarity with HQDA processes and systems.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 and Adobe suites of tools
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the military decision-making process
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet short suspense deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel in support of DAMO-SOC requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications include:
- Significant experience working with Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Cyberspace Operations (CO) or Electro Magnetic Spectrum Operation (EMSO)
- Master’s Degree with 10+ years’ experience or BS and 12+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting cyber training range activites
- Four years of experience supporting operations at the HQDA level or higher
- Experience and knowledge of military documentation process.
- Familiarity with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)
- Familiarity with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Executing (PPBE) process.
- Familiarity with the roles and functions of U.S. Cyberspace Command, Army Cyber Command and the Cyberspace Center of Excellence
- Familiarity with the structure and functions of OSD, Joint Staff, HQDA, Combatant Commands, Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs), and the Combined Arms Command (CAC).
