In this role, the Cyber Claims Law Clerk will participate in active cyber claims adjudication workflows, including investigation of cyber claims, analysis of cyber policies, analysis of claims data, and preparation of reports, correspondence, and presentations.

What you will do:

  • Assist the cyber claims team with claims intake, coverage investigation and analysis, developing and implementing the processes and organization of claims data, and facilitation of resolution of claims
  • Collaboration with Cowbell’s external partners (breach counsel, forensic investigators, crisis communications, ransomware vendors) to address cyber incidents 
  • Assist cross-discipline projects involving Cowbell’s internal teams and external partners
  • Prepare reports and assist with presentations 

What Cowbell needs from you:

  • Must be a 2L or 3L law student at an accredited US law school
  • Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week
  • An interest in cyber insurance 
  • Flexible and open to change, innovation, and new information
  • High level of organization, communication, and a willingness to problem-solve
  • Sense of urgency and mission-driven

Cowbell believes that pay equity and pay transparency advance workplace fairness. Compensation will be equitable and based on experience. The salary range for this position, based in Pleasanton, CA is up to $30.00 per hour. This salary range is subject to change based on work location and market conditions.
