Job Description
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Director, Shared Services Center to lead and scale Flywire’s global Shared Services operations, ensuring seamless and efficient delivery of critical business functions. This role will be responsible for driving process optimization, service excellence, and operational effectiveness across finance, HR, and other support functions. The Senior Director will work closely with business leaders to build a scalable and high-performing Shared Services model that enhances productivity and supports Flywire’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategy, implementation, and management of Flywire’s Shared Services Center, optimizing operational performance across multiple business functions.
- Drive standardization, automation, and efficiency improvements in financial operations, HR services, procurement, and other shared functions.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure and enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with finance, HR, legal, IT, and business leaders to align shared services with Flywire’s strategic objectives.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to improve workflow automation, data accuracy, and process efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks across shared services functions.
- Lead a global team, fostering a high-performance culture and developing talent within the Shared Services Center.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging industry best practices and data-driven insights to optimize operations.
- Support global expansion efforts, ensuring Flywire’s shared services model scales effectively across multiple regions.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop long-term strategies for operational excellence and business transformation.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a seasoned leader with deep experience in Shared Services operations, business process optimization, and service excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in Shared Services, Finance Operations, or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).
- Proven ability to build and scale high-performing Shared Services functions in a global organization.
- Strong understanding of finance, HR, procurement, and operational workflows within a Shared Services model.
- Experience implementing process automation, AI-driven solutions, and ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Expertise in service delivery models, KPI development, and performance management frameworks.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong change management and transformation skills to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing multi-location, global teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
