About the role
The Product Designer (UX/UI) is a crucial part of the software development process at Air Apps. The Product Designer (UX/UI), in cooperation with product and development teams, is responsible for designing and optimizing the experience of Air Apps users, focusing on user-centered, easy-to-use, maximum efficiency designs.
As the Product Design Lead (UX/UI), you will:
- Leading and managing a team of product designers and ensuring high-quality design solutions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and user research, to define and implement innovative design solutions for mobile applications.
- Conducting user research and testing to validate design concepts and gather insights for future design projects.
- Translating complex requirements into intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user experiences.
- Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs to effectively communicate design concepts.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mobile design, and incorporating these into design practices.
- Mentoring and coaching junior designers, providing feedback and guidance to help them grow and develop their skills.
- Presenting design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, including senior leadership and clients.
Daily Responsibilities of the Product Design Lead
- Reviewing and providing feedback on design deliverables from the team.
- Conduct design reviews with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure design solutions align with project goals.
- Facilitating design brainstorming sessions and workshops to generate new ideas and approaches.
- Participating in user research and testing activities to gather insights into user behavior and preferences.
- Developing and maintaining design systems and style guides to ensure consistent, high-quality design across all mobile applications.
- Collaborating with engineering and product management teams to ensure design solutions are technically feasible and meet business requirements.
- Mentoring junior designers, providing guidance and feedback on their work and helping them to develop their skills.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and methodologies, and sharing this knowledge with the team.
- Participating in project planning and scoping activities, including estimating design effort and project timelines.
- Representing the design team in meetings with senior leaders and clients, and presenting design solutions and recommendations.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role would have a strong portfolio of mobile app design work, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of user-centered design practices and methodologies. A bachelor's or master's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field is preferred.
