Senior Maintenance Technician  

 

The following position is open in Virgin Islands, Virgin Islands, U.S..

What makes this a great opportunity?

Ensures the efficient and safe operation of plant machinery and equipment by the planning and execution of preventative and demand maintenance requirements. Works with Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Supervisor to plan, schedule, review & close Work Orders in the Company CMMS. Maintain an up to date equipment history in the company CMMS to report accurate KPI’s.

Role Responsibilities

• Attend Daily Maintenance Team Meetings.
• Attend weekly Work Order planning meetings.
• Participate in the weekly Maintenance Improvement Project Meetings.
• Attend one on one meetings with Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager as scheduled.
• Schedule Work Orders in company CMMS.
• Review Work Orders to determine scope and technical needs with Maintenance Planner.
• Coordinate and perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of plant equipment.
• Create shut down work order schedules with Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Supervisor and in conjunction with Plant Operations.
• Lead and assist with the scheduled repairs of plant equipment.
• Obtain quotations and create purchase orders to ensure that the appropriate equipment, parts, consumables and tools are maintained in stock and that they have been procured in the most cost-effective manner available.
• Assist with vendor/contractor procurement by obtaining cost quotes and scheduling on-site work as needed to maintain plant equipment.
• Review completed Work Orders to ensure they are complete and can be closed.
• Support development of preventive maintenance program for plant equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities as part of regular routine.
• Obtain and continually refresh personal knowledge of all plant equipment, buildings, blueprints, pipelines, etc.
• Diagnose and trouble-shoot problems and develop solutions.
• Interact positively with visitors to the Cruzan Rum Distillery including visitors to the tour program, corporate visitors, and VIPs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all company safety regulations.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas utilizing 5S methodology.
• Adhere to and promote quality, environmental, health and safety as one of the organization’s business priorities.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma required.
• Trade School diploma required.
• Requires a minimum of 5-10 years’ related maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair abiliti
