As a High-Voltage Harness Mechanical Engineer you will develop state-of-the-art high-voltage harnesses and distribution systems for electric vehicles, investigate challenges with high-voltage distribution components such as chargeports & cable harnesses, and implement innovative solutions. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude, demonstrates excellence in their respective fields, and possesses the ability to adapt quickly within a fast-paced environment. The Role:

• Take ownership of high voltage harness design, chargeport design, HV connector design, and related components for next-generation vehicle platforms from concept to production
• Exhibit a flair for creative problem-solving and attention to detail
• Demonstrate technical excellence and apply engineering first-principles to new applications
• Integrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environment
• Optimize designs for size, weight, durability, and cost
• Create 3D CAD models and 2D GD&T controlled drawings of complex harnesses and assemblies

Qualifications:

• 3-6 years of relevant work experience
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Proficient with CATIA or similar CAD software (3DX experience highly beneficial)
• Experience with FEA using Ansys or similar software
• Knowledge of harness and/or connector design for high-voltage environments
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, die casting, etc
• Experience with root cause corrective action processes
• Well-developed team-working and interpersonal skills in a cross-functional environment

Preferred:

• Experience with automotive engineering
• Experience with power electronics

Education:

• BS and/or MS in Mechanical Engineering
