Raytheon is seeking an experienced professional with a successful background in Supply Chain and Program Management to fill a critical Material Program Manager (MPM) role within the AFS suite of programs. Candidates must be able to succeed in a fast-paced development environment and possess excellent time management/prioritization skills. The MPM will be a strong leader and have experience working in a matrixed IPT environment. The MPM is expected to be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives.
The Material Program Manager will report directly to the AFS Supply Chain Management Lead. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of supply chain strategies, material program and supplier management plans, supporting capture/proposal and design-to-cost initiatives throughout all phases of the portfolio’s product life cycle. You will be accountable to ensure suppliers are supporting Program needs, risks are mitigated, and efficiencies identified. You will be the catalyst for program execution of the Supply Chain Strategy and activities including ensuring an appropriate budget, adequate resources, managing schedule, and compliance to requirements.
What You Will Do
- Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead as well as the Program Management Office on material strategies, plans and supplier risk mitigation activities
- Responsible for supporting the development, coordination and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives
- involvement and early supplier involvement that is focused on strategic sourcing initiatives
- Support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win (PTW) targets
- Support the development and execution of material program plans (MPP)
- Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programs
- Support the development and execution of risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
- Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
- Partner cross functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
- Travel required to support program objectives
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a university degree and minimum of 10 years relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
- Experience using SAP
- Experience in Integrated Product Team (IPT)/Cross functional teams
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
- Experience with Design to Cost and/or Cost Reduction Initiatives
- Experience developing and analyzing performance metrics

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
