We are seeking a Director of Student Services to join our team. Your role acts as a co-leader for the Cornerstones of Care K-12 Day Treatment School Program. The Director oversees the coordination of therapeutic, behavioral, and safety supports for all students at the Day Treatment School. This role ensures effective communication between educational, clinical, and families to promote consistent, holistic care. As a member of the Education team, you will report to our Senior Director of Education Programs and Services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Ensure students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and other support plans are developed, implemented, and regularly reviewed.
Utilizes tools and systems to ensure timely and quality documentation is completed by team members.
Stay current on special education procedures, student record documentation, and relevant state and district requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all student referrals, coordinating with referring districts, families, and internal teams to ensure appropriate placement, timely communication, and smooth transitions into the program.
Monitors and tracks monthly enrollment census to ensure accuracy and alignment with program goals.
Collaborate with agency leadership to oversee the implementation and accountability of the services funded by entities such as the Mental Health Levy and COMBAT.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience leading behavioral or therapeutic programs within a school, alternative program, or day treatment setting and the following:
Master’s degree in School Counseling, Special Education, or Educational Leadership is required.
At least 3 to 5 years of proven experience in leading behavioral or therapeutic programs within a school, alternative program, or day treatment setting.
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a safe, supportive, and trauma informed school climate for students and team members.
Licensure or certification in a related field—such as School Counselor, Special Education, or Education Administration Certificate—is strongly preferred.
At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening
A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
