Maintenance Mechanic

Open roles include: 

• Maintenance Mechanic
• Master Mechanic

 

Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical maintenance of the facility, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairment of equipment and instruments. Plant runs 24/7 operations.  Schedules will vary & will work a rotating 12 hr shift schedule.  Overtime required as part of the normal schedule, call out availability, and an on-call rotation.

 

Core Functions:   

• Predictive and preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, part replacement of plant equipment
• Actively participate in all aspects of safety, including near-miss reporting and meetings  

• Follow all process safety procedures and controls 

• Operating mobile equipment/heavy machinery
• Operation of various hand tools and power tools
• Using measurement devices, including calipers, pi tapes, micrometers
• Welding and cutting using a torch: tig, mig, and stick on piping and structural
• Follow written instructions for maintenance
• Understand and be able to clearly communicate throughout the facility

Skill/Experience Requirements:  

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred
• Associates degree and/or technical certification, preferred
• 3 years experience as mechanic or millwright, preferred
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently under little to no supervision  
• Ability to take instruction and follow directions, required  
• Comfortable working safely in high places.  
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
