About the Office of Excellence and Transformation (XT):

The Office of Excellence and Transformation (XT) will lead our efforts to transform our company to best meet the needs of our customers and patients, and the clinicians and providers that care for them, all with a goal of delivering new forms of value to our clients. The Office of XT will work with business and functional leaders across the enterprise to shape and drive a transformation in access to care, cost of care, and quality of care over multiple time horizons.

The Performance Management Team under the Office of Excellence and Transformation is accountable for setting, assessing, and tracking clinical goals for the Enterprise, advising on improvement opportunities and incentives and work with key stakeholders responsible for Board metrics on clinical outcomes.

Role Summary

The Performance Management Business Analytics Senior Advisor role is responsible for driving consistent application of Clinical Performance Management framework in the areas of XT goals and clinical outcomes while supporting continuous efficiency and effectiveness improvements.

This requires several key areas of focus:

  • Assist in developing XT goals for the Enterprise, establish process for on-going reporting & analysis, and report the progress against XT goals.

  • Assist in developing and reporting external transparency report on our commitment to customers and providers.

  • Update goals, enhance process for on-going reporting and analysis, and report our progress against goals aligned with OCHO priorities (strategic direction), the OCHO organization (accountability), and the OCHO management process (decision making and information flow).

  • Collaboration and support at the executive, senior and office of XT leaders to drive successful implementation of consistent framework and tools.

  • Supporting ad-hoc Clinical Performance Management strategic needs for our Enterprise executive leaders

Core Responsibilities

  • Articulate the clinical value story through clinical KPIs, aligning to our strategic XT goals.

  • Develop clinical KPIs (net new or building on existing metrics) to accomplish the commitment of office of XT in connection with the Board reporting.

  • Work horizontally across the CS&E, office of XT functions, and the enterprise to understand needs and develop appropriate metrics and analytics to support.

  • Interface with existing analytic organizations, data teams and clinical areas to establish process for clinical KPIs.

  • Recommend and execute the appropriate clinical reporting content, visualization of insights, working closely with performance management leadership.

  • Work closely with the VP, CS&E; Sr. Director, Clinical Performance Management; and other Office of XT leadership.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HealthCare or other related field strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years experience in finance, accounting, actuarial management or similar field.

  • Demonstrated results in being able to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into both a short-term and long-term organizational plan.

  • Experience working with management process under Agile delivery model.

  • General Management - Thorough understanding of finance, systems, and HR; broad experience with the full range of business functions and systems, including strategic development and planning, budgeting, business analysis, finance, information systems, human resources, and marketing.

  • Drive for Results - Proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; high level of business acumen, including successful P&L management and the ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget; allocates resources and manages operating expenses to maximize P&L while managing risk.

  • Strategic Vision and Agility - Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plan.
