Responsibilities:

• Direct/Support technicians, specialist, and contractors as required.
• Complete preventive/predictive maintenance work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Work with production personnel to accurately diagnose, troubleshoot, and correct problems.
• Installation of new/repaired equipment.
• Provide support as needed/requested from other maintenance personnel and departments.
• Position is defined as electrical and instrumentation technician and must demonstrate proficiency in all areas such as electrical and mechanical maintenance/repair.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of advanced electrical applications and general knowledge of mechanics
• How to use a multimeter to test/troubleshoot electrical circuits
• Ability to read blueprints
• Advanced knowledge of AC and DC drives
• Basic knowledge of temperature and pressure control elements
• Advanced knowledge of medium and low voltage power distribution systems
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and the NEC
• Certified with PLC’s (Allen-Bradley) and with DCS (Foxboro I/A),
• Thorough knowledge of entire plant and all equipment in it or ability to learn
• Ability to trouble shoot and correct problems associated with items listed above, and be able to demonstrate this knowledge
• Continued development of abilities to analyze problems and determine correct solutions
• Ability to determine material and equipment necessary to perform minor modifications to equipment and installation of additional equipment conforming to applicable codes.
