At GDIT, people are our differentiator. Our work depends on a Windows Field Technician to provide technical support services for the various C4S capabilities onboard Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships in Chesapeake, VA.

HOW OUR C4S WINDOWS FIELD TECHNICIAN WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• You will be responsible for direct technical work on projects and installations onboard.

• Works independently and installs, operates, maintains, configures, troubleshoots, and repairs IT systems devices, cables, components, software, and end-user devices, components, software and connectivity.

• Assists in the development of project plans.

• Coordinates with the contractor's C4S Lead and Government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.

• Travels locally and CONUS/OCONUS to perform break/fix and upgrades.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required):

• Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance (Interim Secret acceptable)

• Required Experience: 5+ years of experience with Windows and Unix systems administration, software and hardware troubleshooting and end-user support

• Required Certification: Security + CE certification

• Education: AS/AA Degree or years of experience in lieu of degree.

• Location: Onsite in Norfolk, VA

• US Citizenship Required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.29 - $32.43. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
