About the position

The position is located at our office in Bucharest and is a part of Systematic’s Defence Business Unit. You will join a new team of 8 team members, so you will have the opportunity to take initiative and be creative.

 

Make an Impact Every Day as a Senior Systems Engineer

 

Your main responsibility will be collaborating with your team members to implement new features, change requests and fix defects.

 

In short, you can look forward to:

• Collaborate in sharing knowledge within the team and generating ideas for new improvement initiatives within the team
• Be feature lead which involves working together with the architects and other team members to transform a concept into a detailed technical solution, complete with scope, requirements, technical diagrams, task split and estimations
• Inspect and review the code of your colleagues

• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical education
• You have minimum of 5 years with general IT experience in software development
• You have experience working with Java (Spring) and/or Frontend Technologies (Angular, React, Vue.js, etc.)
• You are open to learn and develop new technical skills (eg. Open to learn microservices or microfrontends)
• As a person, you are team oriented, proactive and you like coming with ideas and driving improvement initiatives
• You are fluent in English and thrive in an international working environment

 

It would be a plus:

 

• If you have presentation skills, encourage knowledge sharing and come with initiatives for code writing improvements
• If you have experience working in the defense domain
• If you have experience working with the following:

Practical information

 

• Hybrid setup: office and remote work
• Our team is based in Romania and Denmark, with collaboration and occasional travel between the two locations, so you should expect 2-3 business trips per year.
