We are looking for new grads to accelerate their progression to a high-acuity department through our innovative orientation program. These positions will have orientation in specific departments that will assist in preparation for your career in the Peds/PICU. Your professional development nurses will support you along the way and help you grow your professional practice to ensure you have a successful career in your chosen specialty.
When working on our 12-bed Pediatric floor and 4-bed PICU, you will provide patient and family-centered care for a variety of high-acuity patients including traumas, diabetic emergencies, trachs and more. The Peds/PICU's multidisciplinary team consists of highly skilled RNs, Intensivists, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and other support staff.
Position Details:
Full-time, 72 hours biweekly (0.9 FTE)
12-hour Day/Night rotation, every third weekend/holiday
There may be varied schedules depending on the orientation unit
Prior patient care experience required, pediatric experience preferred
Enjoy an attractive hourly rate of $37.08/hr as well as generous shift/weekend/holiday differentials
What You'll Need:
Minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing
RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
PALS within 6 months of transfer to the Peds/PICU
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
