Job Summary

Responsible for how users within the company are given an identity - and how it is protected, including saving critical applications, data and systems from unauthorized access while managing the identities and access rights of people both inside and outside the organization. Provides strategic leadership for a high-performing team of identity and access management analysts, engineers and architects to define and deploy the identity and access management strategy. Must have deep understanding of the technology transformation occurring in the identity and access management space and how to leverage and deliver benefits across the enterprise. Leads diverse matrix teams independently, making decisions daily as it relates to successful delivery of the program, and has the ability to know when critical decisions must be raised to senior level and/or business unit management to ensure the program remains on track. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Has a greater degree of impact on business results, and typically manages one or more groups of professional employees.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer IAM security policies, standards, and procedures to protect information assets
  • Identify, recommend, and implement corrective actions in response to security violations
  • Perform security assessments to determine vulnerabilities in IAM systems and applications
  • Serve as the central point of contact for IAM-related policy and process issues
  • Establish and produce metrics and KPIs to measure IAM effectiveness
  • Support Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) initiatives
  • Stay current with industry trends, solution landscapes, and market conditions, and share insights with peers and leadership
  • Apply sound judgment in decision-making related to Information Security
  • Demonstrate initiative, ownership, and leadership in driving IAM strategies and solutions
  • Adapt effectively to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
  • Evaluate, implement, and disseminate IT security procedures across the organization

Requirements / Skills

  • 10+ years experience within IT specifically within engineering and people leadership/resource management
  • 7+ years of direct experience with IAM including directory services, SSO, federation, MFA, provisioning, and separation of duties (SoD)
  • Expertise in classic authentication platforms such as Kerberos, LDAP, Radius, Tacacs+, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, LDAP management, AzureAD, and PAM tools
  • Strong knowledge of Identity Governance and Access Management, including fine-grained access control and policy-driven security
  • Proficiency in user provisioning/de-provisioning and federation across multiple domains
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity controls, both offensive and defensive
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
