About the Role

As a member of the Quality Assurance team, the primary directive is to ensure high caliber products and defect free deliveries. The Senior Software Quality Engineer is responsible for designing and executing software test plans and test cases focused on functionality, performance, scalability and end-to-end testing across Network Perception’s product line. They will be involved in working with the development team to understand new product features and design corresponding test plans. This team member will have the opportunity to orchestrate interdepartmental quality feedback channels by helping to manage crowdsourced testing efforts. Test automation is another focus of the team; ample software development opportunities are available for growing that skillset.

What you will be working on:

  • Designing and implementing test plans; ensuring proper feature coverage.
  • Performing data validation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Executing targeted scenarios such as smoke and regression testing.
  • Reporting and tracking bugs, defects, and errors.
  • Analyzing and defining system interdependencies for testing.
  • Leading interdepartmental crowdsourced testing.
  • Testing products for cross-browser compatibility.
  • Assisting tech support with issue remediation.
  • Writing and maintaining testing documentation.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities to set you up for success:

  • 4+ years manual testing experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Experience working with Defect Management Tools (e.g. Jira, Asana).
  • Experience testing web-based applications.
  • Comfortable working independently and learning new technologies.
  • Knowledge of QA testing principles and strategies.
  • Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals is a plus.
  • Experience in end-to-end test automation is a plus (e.g. Selenium, Playwright)
