Job Summary

Serves as the first point of contact for the Office of the President, Office of the Provost, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, and Academic Senate, providing professional, courteous, and confidential administrative support. This role welcomes and assists students, faculty, staff, Trustees, community partners, and other distinguished guests, ensuring a positive and respectful experience that reflects the institution’s mission and values.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$17.03 - $22.13 per hour

Required Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the following categories:

A. college coursework in business administration, communications, public relations or a closely related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
-30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
-Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
-90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
-Bachelor’s degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)

B. responsible work experience in customer services, public relations, office administration, business and financial operations, healthcare administration or other closely related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational, interpersonal, and technological skills are essential, along with the ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize competing demands, and handle sensitive information with discretion in a fast-paced executive environment.

Work Hours

Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with occasional work before or after to support Presidential Events

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
2. Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
3. Move about in various locations on campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
