The FLOAT Mental Health Office Assistant Senior provides quality health services for people who experience barriers to accessing care. The vision for Corrections Health is to provide services that are integrated and connected to support optimal health, reducing wait times and optimizing access. Corrections Health provides an access point for new and established clients at the Multnomah County Health Department clinics or other locations.
As a FLOAT Mental Health Office Assistant Senior in Corrections Health, you will help serve in our three Correctional Health facilities.
1. The Multnomah County Detention Center (downtown)
2. Inverness Jail (near PDX airport)
3. The Juvenile Detention Center (NE Portland)
As the FLOAT Mental Health Office Assistant Senior, you will:
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to Mental Health Managers and Supervisors, and other Corrections Health Managers and Supervisors.
Manage multiple requests for a multi-location, 24/7-365 days a year operation.
Develop and implement administrative support for new initiatives, processes, team development, and quality improvement projects.
Develop, maintain, correct, and improve caseload spreadsheets.
Update and maintain the Suicide Watch Board and Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Tracking spreadsheet.
Send Daily Coverage and Daily Post Closure emails.
Complete various Mental Health requests and Medical Request forms for the Mental Health Program in Corrections Health for three locations.
Maintain control of protected health information.
Navigate EPIC, Electronic Sheriffs Warrant Information System (eSWIS), JCS, and other electronic programs to gather, organize, and report to Mental Health Leadership.
Communication and Coordination:
Communicate effectively with internal and external parties in line with healthcare privacy laws.
Use independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
Communicate with leadership about assigned duties.
