Actuarial Analyst - Defined Benefit True Up Team
Location: London or Reigate (Hybrid - 50%)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours
Purpose
The DB Actuarial Analyst will undertake pricing and actuarial input required to support delivery of DB Data True Ups and other tasks relating to in-force business.

Key Responsibilities
Support Head of True up, DB Actuary and DB Senior Actuarial Analyst in accurate and timely delivery of data true ups.
Prepare internal sign off documentation produced for each quotation, ensuring results are presented in a clear manner, outlining all material areas of judgement and limitations.
Prepare drafts of client deliverables / data true up letters to be issued externally.
Carry out all necessary BAU work for in force business which includes scheme valuations.
Prepare scheme valuations and ensure they are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare individual member calculations and ensure they are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
Develop a deep knowledge of all systems and tools used by the True up team.
Proactively help to drive projects forward to ensure they are progressed in line with expected timescales.
Proactively work to promote a culture of collaboration and engagement within the True up team.

What we’re looking for
Actuarial or Maths related degree is desirable, and / or working towards FIA qualification with some relevant experience.
Desire for an Actuarial career.
Understanding of actuarial principles and techniques.
Familiarity with DB pension scheme benefits, and regulation is desirable.
Familiarity with life insurance principles and regulation is desirable.
Good IT skills, particularly Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
