Full time: 40 hours
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Salaried position: $50k/year

Position Summary: The Day Habilitation Program Director reports to the Director of Day and Community Based Services. This person is responsible for the supervision of the Habilitation Manager working in the Day Habilitation Program and the day to day operations of the program site. This is a salary, exempt position in Greenfield, Mass.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure and safeguard Venture consumer’s human dignity, rights, and liberties.
- Demonstrate a high regard for each person and sensitivity for cultural values, expectation, and goals of individuals, families, staff, and others.
- Display professional attitude and behavior, being courteous, empathetic, helpful, and positive in all interpersonal interactions.
- Work effectively and cooperatively with persons served, staff, families, community members, employers, and others; presenting self and Venture in a positive and professional manner.
- Focus on providing the persons served satisfaction as a primary goal; regularly seeking feedback and input from persons served.
- Maintain confidentiality by discussing individual concerns only with appropriate people in a private setting.
- Actively participate on work teams to continuously improve the services, solve problems, share ideas, and plan for change.
- Promote accessibility for people with disabilities by identifying and addressing existing and potential barriers to communication, transportation, community access, and utilization of services.

- Coordinate all referrals, acting as a liaison with funding agencies.
- Ensure that services are being provided to consumers in accordance with established DHSP’s
- Monitor communication and coordination of services (i.e. Service Coordinator, Residence, Family, and Supportive Services) for each consumer.
- Ensure adequate daily employee coverage and coordination of vacation and other scheduled leave
- Ensure adherence to all Venture policies and procedures, and pertinent funding source regulations: including Medicaid, DDS, and CARF.
- Ensure that Case Record Reviews are conducted quarterly
- Ensure consumer and employee safety and the appropriate handling of emergency situations
- Ensure that employees are trained in administering First Aid, CPR and other emergency care procedures
- Monitor Expiration dates of all employees certified in emergency care procedures
- Conduct monthly emergency drills and complete RRI documentation requirements
- Review appropriate policies and procedures annually
- Review and report on a quarterly basis the outcomes of the people served in Habilitation Services and make adjustments as needed to improve services.
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attendance at administrative and other meetings as required.
- Respond to information requests, as appropriate.
- Provide recommendations to your supervisor regarding ways to improve the current systems
- Accept responsibility and accountability as part of the position
- Maintain confidentiality and positive demeanor while successfully managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Maintain First Aid, CPR & AED certifications. – We’ll train if you do not have these certificates.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on programmatic coverage, weekends, holidays, and program emergencies.
- Maintain training specific to individual programmatic issues.
- Ability to plan and organize own work and the activities of others.
- Actions should reflect judgment that would not jeopardize the health and safety of the individuals.
